Brise was founded in Jersey by Tom Andrews, after a career spent building and running secure platforms in environments where mistakes have regulators, and watching organisations struggle to buy that capability at a sensible scale.
The firms with the engineering depth came wrapped in account managers, discovery phases and six-month waits. The affordable alternatives couldn’t take real responsibility for security, compliance or operation. Brise is the missing shape: senior technical capability, direct relationships, end-to-end ownership and momentum.
Founder-led is a working model, not a marketing line. The person accountable for your platform is the person you talk to. As Brise grows, it grows into a small elite team, never into layers.
The name
Brise is the breeze that moves along Jersey’s south coast at St Brelade. Air in motion: many currents, one direction. It sits on granite that hasn’t moved in five hundred million years.
That pairing of responsive movement and immovable foundations is the whole brand, and the engineering standard.
The founder
Tom has spent his working life in technology. He started as a server administrator, moved into consultancy delivering bespoke software for businesses, then went on to design, build and operate compliance-focused product software, with the DevOps discipline to run it properly. Each stage built the experience it takes to found and run Brise: understand the problem, engineer the solution, keep it running.
The environments he has delivered into are the ones where mistakes are expensive: banks moving client money, governments digitising public services, businesses proving their compliance to regulators. He is also CTO and Director of ComTech Solutions, where he built the compliance products CookieScan and YourDataSafe and runs them today.
